The 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit, which merged the European Conference on Networks and Communications (EuCNC) with the 6G Summit, recently took place, bringing together a wide array of experts and industry leaders in telecommunications. Sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, the European Association for Signal Processing, and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation, the summit aimed to cover a broad spectrum of topics, from the deployment of 5G technologies to the exploration of 6G possibilities.
The 2024 Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition (OFC) in San Diego has proven to be the epicentre for some of the latest advancements in optical communications, attracting a global audience of over 12,500 attendees from more than 83 countries. And this year, the ECO-eNET team joined this cohorts of experts from this arena.
Today marked the exciting beginning of the Efficient Confluent Edge NETworks (ECO-eNET) project. The kick-off meeting brought together the key partners from eight different countries, each contributing to what is poised to become a new framework for future 6G technology. This innovative project, funded by the Horizon Europe Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking, is aiming to integrating cutting-edge optical and radio technologies to craft a highly efficient and scalable network.
